The El Guapo Loco Science Show--Episode 7: Dams, Animals and Balancing in Paraguay
In Episode 7, El Guapo and Mr. Weir go to Paraguay to visit the Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam in Paraguay. While there you will see some of the common animals found in Paraguay and children will learn what dams are built for. Also, El Guapo will demonstrate how to balance a hammer at the end of a ruler. It is like magic. Children will also learn the Spanish words, Muy bien and how to say I am coming.
El Guapo Loco Science Show--Episode 6: Mylodons, Caves and Energy in Chile
In this episode of the El Guapo Loco Science show, Mr. Weir and El Guapo visit Chile. They get to visit a cave where once lived a Mylodon, a giant sloth. Students will learn about cave formations like stalactites, stalagmites, and cave bacon as well as animals that can be found in caves. El Guapo demonstrates the transfer of energy between a basketball and a tennis ball.
The El Guapo Loco Science Show--Episode 5: Sound in Peru
In this episode of the El Guapo Loco Science Show, Mr. Weir will show the kids what Machu Pichu is and some of the animal life that is found in Peru. A Peruvian dance will also be shown. El Guapo will teach students what sound is. The final science project will find students creating Pan flutes using nothing but Bic pens, erasers, and scissors. Students can make as fancy a flute as they want. Spanish words that are taught are Gracias, Si, and Qué Pasa.
The El Guapo Loco Science Show--Episode 4: Clouds
In this episode, El Guapo and Mr. Weir visit Argentina and the Iguazu Falls. They then teach about waterfalls and clouds. Students will be taught how to make a cloud in a bottle. Spanish words they will learn are: Buenos Dias, El Rio, Gaucho, Qué Guay. Science words that students will learn are: Waterfall, resistant rock, water vapor, and condensation.
The El Guapo Loco Science Show--Episode 3: Capillary Action
El Guapo travels to the Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica to demonstrate how capillary action moves water in plants. Mr. Weir talks about volcanoes, eruptions, and some of the different plants and animals found in Costa Rica. When students are finished they will have a decoration for their homes.

Turkey Call Science Experiment
In this experiment, we used string, a paper clip, a sponge and a cup to make a turkey call. I think it sounded more like a goose call, but hey, it was definitely entertaining.
